A man from Australia who vaulted over a barricade and touched actress Ariana Grande has been sent away and banned from Singapore.

The individual, 26, was given a sentence to over a week in detention for causing a public disturbance and has now been "barred from re-entering Singapore," the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority informed news outlets.

Wen pushed beyond security and charged at the performer and artist, who was participating in the Asian debut for the film on 13 November. Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo wrestled him away from Grande.

Wen has a history of disrupting concerts and star-studded occasions, including jumping on stage at a Katy Perry performance in Sydney in the past June.

The event caused anger in Singapore, with numerous people claiming he of re-traumatising Grande.

The celebrity has discussed dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder after a terrorist bombing at her show in the English city in May 2017 took the lives of 22 individuals and hurt numerous attendees.

In the legal process, the judge was informed he had tried to gain access on the red carpet event multiple times, according to local news sources.

He then made a follow-up try to cross the barriers. Security staff stopped him and restrained him.

Wen later posted video clips expressing gratitude to the star for permitting his access and said he was "at liberty."

Authorities arrested him the subsequent day and accused him with causing a disturbance, to which Wen pleaded guilty.

The District Judge Christopher Goh was cited by media reports as remarking that he was looking for publicity, noting that he was incorrect to think he would not experience repercussions.

The actress has not spoken about the incident.

Cynthia Erivo mentioned the event to NBC, stating that she "only aimed to ensure my friend was safe."

"I think he didn't intend us injury, but you cannot be certain with such situations, and I aimed to confirm that she was fine. That was my immediate response," she stated.
